World of Chat Messenger

Plain-English, fair, and transparent software licensing terms for using World of Chat Messenger and our cloud socket infrastructure.

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or subscribing to World of Chat Messenger (via https://wocchat.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not purchase or install our software.

2. Software Licensing

World of Chat Messenger is distributed as a premium WordPress plugin coupled with cloud WebSocket hosting:

  • Pro Plan (£9.99/mo): License for 1 active WordPress website, up to 50 concurrent chatter connections, and 100,000 monthly messages.
  • Business Plan (£19.99/mo): License for up to 3 active WordPress websites, 250 concurrent chatter connections, and 500,000 monthly messages.
  • Enterprise Plan (£49.99/mo): Unlimited websites, 1,000+ concurrent chatter connections, multi-million message limits, and priority developer support.

Your license grants you the right to install, activate, and receive continuous plugin updates and cloud socket connectivity for as long as your subscription remains active.

3. Subscription Billing, Renewals & Cancellations

⚡ Rolling 30-Day Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed on a rolling 30-day cycle from your exact purchase date (not on the 1st of the calendar month). You retain full access through the end of your prepaid period.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically every 30 days via Stripe until cancelled.
  • 1-Click Self-Service Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time without penalties. Simply log in to your My Account → Subscriptions tab and click Cancel.
  • Assisted Cancellation: You can also email us at worldofchat@hotmail.co.uk requesting cancellation, and our team will process it promptly.

4. Community Room Boosts

The Boost 1k Messenger Credits (£1.00) feature is a voluntary community crowd-funding mechanism. When visitors or community members purchase a Chat Boost on your site, those credits are applied directly to upgrade your server message capacity. Because Boosts are consumable cloud capacity credits, they are non-refundable once applied.

5. Service Availability & Cloud Uptime

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our dedicated WebSocket microservices. While we maintain redundant cloud infrastructure, temporary maintenance windows or upstream network disruptions outside our reasonable control may occasionally occur. We provide technical support to ensure your socket connections remain healthy.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use World of Chat Messenger or our cloud socket servers to:

  • Transmit illegal, defamatory, harassing, or malicious content under applicable law.
  • Conduct Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks, flood socket endpoints with automated scripts, or attempt to reverse-engineer our cloud API.
  • Distribute malware, unauthorized automated spam bots, or phishing campaigns.

Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension of license access without refund.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, World of Chat Messenger and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software, server downtime, or loss of business data.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom.
