We collect only what we need to process your order, give you your licence and manage your subscription.

1. Who we are

World of Chat Messenger (wocchat.com) provides live chat software and chat server hosting for WordPress website owners. This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit this website, create an account or buy a subscription.

2. What we collect

When you buy a licence or use this site, we collect:

  • Account and billing details. Your name, email address, company name (optional) and country. WooCommerce needs these to create your account, give you your licence and email your download links and renewal notices.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, security code and bank details go straight to Stripe and are never stored on, or seen by, our servers.
  • Website logs. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type and time of visit), used for security and to filter out bots.

3. How we use your data

We use your data only to provide and support the service:

  • To set up and check your plugin licence.
  • To manage your monthly subscription renewals and send receipts.
  • To answer your support requests and questions.
  • To check you’re entitled to plugin updates and security fixes.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal data, or share it with advertisers.

4. Chat data

World of Chat Messenger connects your WordPress site to our chat servers. When people use the chat on your site, our servers store:

  • Chat names and profiles. The name a guest or member chats under, and any profile details they add.
  • Messages and photos. Messages and photos sent in chat, so conversation history works.
  • IP addresses. Used to stop abuse and to make bans work.
  • Reports and blocks. So site owners can moderate their chat.

We use this data only to run the chat and keep it safe. We do not track, profile or sell anyone’s conversations, and none of it is stored in your WordPress database.

Chat data is currently kept on our servers until it is deleted. We are adding automatic deletion of messages after 3 months. To ask for chat data to be deleted sooner, email us.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in to My Account and to remember your basket during checkout. We don’t use third-party tracking cookies.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

Under UK GDPR and other data protection laws, you’re in control of your data:

  • Right of access. You can see your order history, subscriptions and account details at any time in My Account .
  • Right to erasure. If you cancel and want your customer account deleted, email worldofchat@hotmail.co.uk and we’ll delete it within 14 working days.
